Make Up For Ever has really come to the forefront in the last few years. Google them if you don't believe me! From their superbly pigmented lipstick to the their pro grade eyeshadows, they've made a stamp on the makeup world and show no signs of leaving anytime soon. In the past few months I've gotten my grubby little hands on a few MUFE products, but the one product I seem to use the most (in all it's variables) is the Mat Velvet.

Now, it's awesome, don't get me wrong. But, like all brands, they're not without faults. On normal skin it settles beautifully. Smooth even light coverage with the potential to build coverage if that's what's needed. However I find that on certain types of skin, it doesn't perform quite as well (oily and dry skin).

Other than that, I use it religiously on lighter skin.

Purchase MUFE Mat Velvet at your local Sephora or online at www.sephora.com

Welp, that's all for now folks. Catch ya on the flip side!!

I've been busy y'all! But still, that's no excuse, I know I know. FORGIVE ME!! I've some product reviews to post here and will definitely become a bit more invested in this here blog-o-mine. Be sure to come back for more deets later on this week!

It's time for a more professional take on my blog, so I'm switching servers in 2013. However, I don't know how I'm going with as far as blog hosting sites go. I'm still doing bits of research. My portfolio will also be moved to a more professional hosting site. It's time I step it up a bit. Here's hoping that your holidays are grand and the new year treats you to all your wishes. Have a good one ya'll.

The thing is, I know there's this "standard" for blogging and I'm not one for rules. I want to treat this as my very public diary. So I may not reach a plethora of people, no big whoop.

However, once the new year kicks in, and my tripod gets here (along with my lighting system, new desk, and makeup vanity) I'll do more makeup reviews/swatches of products I've gotten over the last months. So, look forward to that and HAPPY HOLIDAYS to you all!!

But I didn't get much ^_^. I'm proud of myself. I bought some clothes from Ebay, Got the Grey Friday lipstick from MAC, and got some items from Lisi Cosmetics.

There is an off chance that I ordered two Grey Friday lipsticks, so I'll be checking in on that come Monday morning. If not, oh well.

A lot of your favorite brands (mine as well) will be slashing prices on most of your favorite items for this immaculate day!!
Like some of you, I'm on a tight budget. Being a working makeup artist, I look forward to the Black Friday/'Cyber Monday deals from makeup companies/brands! I'm looking forward to these sales because I have a list of things that I'm needing/that are running low. So, I don't have the luxury to splurge (super sad face). I'm only shopping at specific websites, for specific items. But, if you have more store/companies/brands that are also doing a BF/CM weekend deal e list them in the comments section and I'll add them to the master list.

A goal realized, I've been signed by The Makeup Artist Agency. It still hasn't hit me yet, I haven't broken down in tears but little by little, the hysteria is building. I'm super thankful to those who helped me reach this point. It's the first of many goals to be realized

Of fashion of course ;). My Saturday was packed with full figured divas, amazing clothes, laughter, and makeup. 14 ladies, one makeup artist. A few of never wore anything more than mascara and they entrusted me with the task of making them even more radiant than they were. Kathleen Starita of Kstar Photography was there as my assistant and she did an awesome job. If she were not there, I know it would have taken me forever. So, thank you Kathleen for all you hard work. And also, thank you beautiful 14 women who trusted me to beat your face to the heavens. Here's hoping you were pleased.

Thanks to Audria "Nubia" Arnold and Ashley Dean for entrusting me with the task of making beautiful women, even more stunning.

Today we (Kathleen, Kim, and I) had a lovely meeting with Riley from v107.5. I have to say, it was a pretty good meeting. Ideas were reviewed and she's such an open person, she loved what we brought to the table. I look forward to working as a team again with these bad ass women. We're moving to a new frontier!!

In other news:
Something very, very, very delicious might be in the works (as far as publications go) and I look forward to sharing the exciting news with you all.

I was tired of doing makeup for nothing. Tired of spending time and effort to make a look as flawless as possible, only to have it "fall on deaf ears," so to say. So, with a few tears and a broken heart, I bid my old ways goodbye and submitted to FACEON Magazine!! I didn't do it alone, and that one shoot, that one shoot that took us 8 hours to complete, has gotten me so many accolades from fellow craftsmen/women in the business. So much, and it only took someone who actually wanted more like I do. Someone who, like me, is more critical of herself and is three times as hard on everybody else. Someone who took me aside and said "I want this more than anything, I need to do more than 'BE' in Memphis, I need to thrive! I know you can help me get there, let me help you too."

Sometimes, you have to do something that tests your devotion to your craft. Sometimes, you have to bite a little harder on the bait to get picked. Sometimes, you have to do whats right for YOU. Not everyone will agree with your choices, that's fine because not everyone can live your life. So, what they think shouldn't deter you from going for the gold. You make friends along the way, and those friends wish for your success as much as you wish for theirs. No friend would try to guilt you into staying in a place where you're not flourishing. No friend would put what they "like" over your dreams. No friend would dust you so that you wouldn't be able to shine.

It's time for a new lease on life. A new view of success. It's time for a change and it MUST start with me.
