Woo, boy was this a tough decision. But yes, yes I've decided to not buy makeup unless absolutely necessary. That mean, unless I don't have it, and it's for a job, I'm not buying it. If something runs out, I'll replenish it. All those new makeup lines coming out? I'll have to admire them from afar :(. But, that doesn't mean I'll stop blogging. I still have clean brush shampoo to talk about.
Make Up For Ever has really come to the forefront in the last few years. Google them if you don't believe me! From their superbly pigmented lipstick to the their pro grade eyeshadows, they've made a stamp on the makeup world and show no signs of leaving anytime soon. In the past few months I've gotten my grubby little hands on a few MUFE products, but the one product I seem to use the most (in all it's variables) is the Mat Velvet.
Now, it's awesome, don't get me wrong. But, like all brands, they're not without faults. On normal skin it settles beautifully. Smooth even light coverage with the potential to build coverage if that's what's needed. However I find that on certain types of skin, it doesn't perform quite as well (oily and dry skin).
Other than that, I use it religiously on lighter skin.
Purchase MUFE Mat Velvet at your local Sephora or online at www.sephora.com
Welp, that's all for now folks. Catch ya on the flip side!!
Of fashion of course ;). My Saturday was packed with full figured divas, amazing clothes, laughter, and makeup. 14 ladies, one makeup artist. A few of never wore anything more than mascara and they entrusted me with the task of making them even more radiant than they were. Kathleen Starita of Kstar Photography was there as my assistant and she did an awesome job. If she were not there, I know it would have taken me forever. So, thank you Kathleen for all you hard work. And also, thank you beautiful 14 women who trusted me to beat your face to the heavens. Here's hoping you were pleased.
Thanks to Audria "Nubia" Arnold and Ashley Dean for entrusting me with the task of making beautiful women, even more stunning.
There's a four day processing period, so I should get my package by, Wednesday or Thursday of next week...maybe. Pictures and a possible video review will be had :D
On another note, Coastal Scents followed me today on twitter!! I was so happy!! :D
This is from my trial session in February with Arekah The Goddess Photography. I passed with flying colors :D I transitioned the model (Danielle) from cute and spunky to dark and seductive. :D Enjoy!
Cute neutral eyes with pink playful lips.
Eyeshadow used? Urban Decay eyeshadows in Sin, Polyester Bride
M-A-C eyeshadows in Romp and Black Tied
Lipstick: NYX's Hot Pink lip liner with M-A-C Viva Glam in Nicki with clear gloss from Wet N' WIld.
Same look with more eyeliner underneath the eye using Urban Decay's eyeliner in Perversion and a smudge brush to drag it out to create an under smokey cat liner effect. I do think it was very successful.
Also, on the lips is NYX's Black Label Lipstick in Vamp.
Thanks to Kathleen "KStar" Starita, I'm not a published artist. I did the cover for a local magazine titled "La Onda" and I got the opportunity to meet and pow wow with local artists The Glo! I was fantastic and overall a good work environment. I'm so thankful as I know this is just the beginning!
It's been a while, but I'm back and ready for business!! Over the past month or so, I've acquire some pretty sweet makeup pieces. I have pictures to prove it!!!
